High School Art Exhibition

​We will be accepting HS Art Show tag submissions in January. The 2017 form tag will be available at that time. 

These Guidelines have been updated for the 2017 show so you can plan ahead… 26th annual High School Art Exhibition during March 2015

KCC will host the 28th annual High School Art Exhibition February 20 - March 14, 2017.

The exhibition will be held in the lower-level art gallery of the Harold and Jean Miner Memorial Library on KCC's main campus.

This exhibition is open to high school students (grades 9-12) who are enrolled in art classes.

Please consult the timeline below and review entry guidelines before completing the entry form available in January 2017. 

Feb. 2, 3, 6, 7, 8

Delivery of work to KCC’s art gallery in the Harold and Jean Miner Memorial Library.
February 20 Exhibition opens.
March 14 Awards Reception 6-8 p.m.
Juror's Critique and Scholarship Presentation 7 p.m.
March 14 Show closes at 8 p.m. after reception. Pickup of exhibited works begins.
March 17 

Final date to pick up exhibited works by 3:30 p.m.

Awards – March 14

Merit awards and Honorable Mention awards will be given in the following areas: Painting; Black and white drawing/design; Color drawing/design; Three-dimensional work; and Photography/electronic imaging.

All participants will be eligible to apply for the $800 KCC High School Art Exhibit Scholarship which can be used toward tuition, books, and supplies for any KCC course. The scholarship winner will be chosen by a review of exhibit pieces and a completed KCC Foundation scholarship application. More information can be found on our website at http://www.kcc.edu/future/paying/scholarships/Pages/default.aspx. The new 2017-18 Scholarships are currently available for application. Look for the scholarship for the High School Art Exhibit and follow the instructions on the application page. Deadline for turning in the application is March 1.

All exhibiting students will receive certificates of achievement.  Awards will be distributed at a reception for all artists and their guests Tuesday, March 14 in the lower level art gallery in KCC’s Harold and Jean Miner Memorial Library.
