At KCC we believe if we're not improving we're falling behind. Thus, in 2002, KCC prioritized continuous improvement and became a member of The Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP), an alternative accreditation model. AQIP is administered by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) which is part of NCA .  In an ongoing interactive process, KCC provides updates to HLC on our continuous improvement efforts.

Our recent activities were the completion of a Quality Check-up Visit (QCV) in 2007 and a fall 2008 re-affirmation of accreditation. We are very pleased with the final QCV report and re-affirmation of accreditation recommendation. Our next activity will be the submission of a Systems Portfolio in fall 2009.  From the site visit report under the HLC Documents link (to the left):
