Chef Auston Minnich

Growing up Italian in Michigan, Auston liked to cook for family and friends, showing a natural talent. So it was only natural that after high school, he enrolled in an accelerated 15 month associate degree culinary arts program at Robert Morris University. After an 180-hour internship at a fine dining restaurant, Minnich was hired and promoted to executive chef within two years.

Minnich likes to cook everything, with Italian and desserts as his favorites. At KCC, he presents a taste of gourmet cooking at reasonable prices. Occasionally, he has a cook-to-order event which includes a show of preparing the food.

“I love cooking in front of people, putting on a show, making them smile, making them laugh, and most of all seeing everyone enjoying their food,” Minnich said.
