Top 10 ways to help KCC

(without writing a check)

  1. Identify potential students - send the names and addresses of prospective students to the recruitment office at jlareau@kcc.edu
  2. Name and claim - Name us and claim us—include your sincere reasons… Did KCC change your life—Tell prospective college students and parents how: you had a great professor mentor; you discovered your career calling; you didn't think you could afford college, but KCC made it possible.
  3. Assist careers effort - Remember how it was when you were trying to get started? When asked, share information about your career field with the KCC Career Planning office, or with KCC students. Do you have job openings within your organization? Pass the announcement on to our Career Office at ttalmadge@kcc.edu
  4. Recognize others - Identify alumni who are deserving of honor and recognition by the College and the KCC Alumni Association.
  5. Introduce prospective donors - Identify major gift prospects (alum or non-alum) known to you. Coordinate with the Executive Director of the KCC Foundation and participate in the cultivation and solicitation process.
  6. Keep us informed - Let us know when you hear about someone's new job, marriage, death, etc. Send us address changes and news so we can send appropriate correspondence.
  7. Serve on the Alumni Board - Volunteer to be part of an alumni planning and decision-making group that meets four times a year on the College campus.
  8. Volunteer - Volunteer to assist in the planning of Alumni events.
  9. Provide your input - Help KCC to assess and improve its programs by filling out and returning questionnaires sent to alumni by the College.
  10. Be a guest speaker - Volunteer to be a guest speaker for college classes in your related field.
