Why This Campaign

KCC continues to be one of the best educational values in higher education. To maintain this level of value, the college is initiated a comprehensive fundraising campaign to address three growth initiatives.

Health Careers Center for Excellence

KCC is a leader in educating health care professionals. If you receive health care in this area, it's likely that you'll be assisted by a KCC graduate. While our instructional program is vibrant, our 35 year old facilities are becoming difficult and costly to maintain. It also is a challenge to implement new technology in older spaces not designed for those purposes. A new Health Careers Center for Excellence addresses these challenges. With support for this initiative, the college:

  • Redesigned space to centralize the health careers programs into one location.
  • Provided sophisticated equipment for advanced health care education.
  • Developed new programs and curricula that responds to changing health care and medical needs.

Workforce Solutions

KCC must be able to provide new and expanded education and training programs to meet the needs of business and industry partners. Through this initiative, the college plans to:

  • Enhance technology, labs and equipment to respond to program and training needs.
  • Provide advanced training in emerging technologies and industries for existing employers and businesses locating to the region.
  • Develop the skill sets and technical knowledge of faculty to meet the changing needs of area employers.

Supporting Students

The cost for one year at KCC represents an investment in cultivating well-educated, well-prepared citizens in our communities. Every dollar that students are awarded in scholarships increases their personal funds available to spend on child care, transportation, and other living expenses. Overall, scholarships represent the key to access higher education in our communities. With support for this initiative, the college plans to:

  • Provide monetary assistance to ensure that students do not leave college because of unmet financial needs.
  • Honor and recognize students' talents and achievements
  • Address broad student needs, such as child are, transportation, equipment and supplemental educational supplies.
  • Provide assistance to a wide range of students, including working adults, full-time and part-time students and those seeking job related training for advancement.
