Scholarship Recognition Luncheon 

At this annual event, donors and their scholarship recipients meet. Often, scholarship recipients share their appreciation with donors, and talk more about their plans for the future.

In many cases, scholarships can be a deciding factor in a student’s ability to attend college. Donors are able to understand the difference they’ve made, and how their contributions change lives. Some recipients have the opportunity to meet and thank the donor who is helping them reach their goals.

The event is held every October, and recipients and donors are strongly encouraged to attend. This year's luncheon was held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kankakee, Ill.
