Willie Dixon has been spinning jazz records on the air for more than 25 years and has hosted WKCC's All That Jazz since 2007. He heard his first jazz recording in 1946 - Lionel Hampton - broadcast from a sound truck that was driving through his South Chicago neighborhood. He's been a jazz fan ever since.
Listen to All That Jazz and, Dixon says, you will take a step back in time when you hear artists including Nat Cole, Sarah Vaughn, Tonny Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra.

Friends of the Blues is hosted by lifelong local blues aficionados D’Arcy “Shuffleshoes” Ballanger and James “Skyy Dobro” Walker. Ballinger, a rural St. Anne resident has been involved with local blues since the mid-1980s. He is a member of the Blues Foundation and the Blues Music Awards Nominating Committee. Walker, of Watseka, was listening to the blues before he knew it was “Blues.” The show’s name comes from loose-knit group of local blues fans the two helped create in 2006.

The New York Philharmonic
The New York Philharmonic is by far the oldest symphony orchestra in the United States, and one of the oldest in the world. Founded in 1842 by a group of local musicians, the philharmonic plays nearly 180 concerts a year and in December 2004 gave its 14,000th concert.
