Baseball Assistant Coaches 

 

                                                                 Eric Zeedyk

Eric Zeedyk finished his second season as an assistant Coach with the Cavaliers. He is a 1996 graduate of Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School, where he was a four-year starter and letterman in baseball. After high school, Zeedyk played two seasons of college baseball, at John A. Logan College for one year and at KCC his sophomore season. As a Cavalier, he helped the team advance to the NJCAA World Series. After KCC, Zeedyk signed and played professional baseball for two season with the Cook County Cheetahs and one season with the Joliet Jackhammers.
Coach Zeedyk played for coaches such as Houston Astros NL 'Coach of the Year' Hal Lanier, Carlos May, Ron LaFloire, and former Chicago Cub Chico Walker. Zeedyk brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to the Cavaliers and will work primarily with the hitters. Zeedyk resides in Bourbonnais with his wife, Amanda, and their two children Peyton, 5, and daughter Andie, 1.


                                                      

                                                               Kyle Surprenant

Kyle ended his first season as an assistant coach for the Cavaliers. Surprenant is a Clifton Central HS/Kankakee Community College and Western Illinois University graduate. Surprenant was the starting shortstop for the Cavaliers for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. At NCAA Division I Western Illinois University he played shortstop from 2007 to 2008. At WIU, Surprenant was team captain and was named to the Mid-Conference All Tournament team. Coach Surprenant will work with players on defensive skills.
