The men's basketball team has participated in the National “Sweet 16” held in Hutchinson, Kansas six times advancing to the Final Four in 2000 and the National Championship game in 1985 and 1988. The Cavaliers have won the regional championship 14 times and has produced 21 junior college All-Americans. Currently, seven former Cavaliers are on four-year University rosters.
