 2011 Season Preview

This season, Kankakee Community College soccer team plans to continue on following the 2010 season, which was canceled after 10 games.

Second year Head Coach Machel Cromwell and his assistant have created a whole new program and plan to continue on their goal of building the whole player both on and off the field.

Coach Cromwell also will be transitioning the team over to Assistant Coach Jose Smith this season as Coach. Cromwell plan to return to his home country of Trinidad and Tobago.

The coaches have set high expectations for the team, which has transitioned from NJCAA Division III to NJCAA Division I for 2011.

The majority of new recruits hail from local high schools including Bradley-Bourbonnais, Bishop McNamara Catholic, Momence and Manteno. There also will be a mix of four international students originally from Bolivia and Trinidad and Tobago.
