Kankakee Community College pitcher/outfielder Samantha Arenkill, a 2009 National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region selection, has signed with Robert Morris University to continue her intercollegiate career.
The daughter of Brian & Sue Arenkill of Aurora, IL, Sam recorded a 1.50 earned run average to a 13-2 record for Coach Dennis Clark's Cavaliers in 2009.  She was just as tough at the plate, hitting .344 and driving in 29 runs. Currently, Arenkill has a 8-0 record and a 1.35 ERA from the mound. From the plate, Sam is hitting .406 with 41 hits and 18 RBIs. 
"With previous collegiate experience and success on the mound, we look for Sam to be an integral piece of our pitching staff in 2010-2011," said RMU Head Coach Megan Smith.  "She will help fill the void created by the impending graduation of former Cavalier Ashley Havertine."
Sam Arenkill will pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration in Health & Fitness Management at the University's Orland Park Campus.
