KCC women’s basketball coach Donnie Denson will be honored by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association as one of the NJCAA Division II co coaches of the year.

Denson, a 10-year veteran with 299 career wins, will be recognized at the IBCA’s Hall of Fame dinner  at Illinois State University. He is sharing the awarded with Parkland College’s Karrie Redeker, an Iroquois County native.

Denson led KCC to a fourth-place finish at the National tournament this year, and has accumulated a record of 268-72 as the head coach at Kankakee Community College.
