Six baseball players commit 

Matt Heaslip, 6-3, 195 lbs., Heaslip has a solid fastball and a late-breaking slider that can be a swing-and-miss pitch for the new University of Illinois – Chicago Flame. Last season at Kankakee, Heaslip finished 8-1 with a 3.96 ERA in 86.1 innings of work, struck out 70 batters and was a 2nd team All Region selection for the Cavaliers.

Andrew Dunscomb piled up some impressive statistics for KCC and will continue his baseball career at Robert Morris University - Chicago.  Playing in 121 games, he hit .361 and drove in 109 runs.

Tyler Ware has committed to Judson University in Elgin, IL to finish his final two collegiate years in baseball. Ware ended his sophomore campaign with a 9-2 record and 4.26 ERA in 82.1 innings and was a Region IV All Region second team selection.

All Region selections Lukas Graves and Nate Reid will both continue their careers at NCAA Division II Tusculum College in Greenville, Tennessee. Graves finished his sophomore campaign with a .347 batting average in 222 at bats and had a team high 37 stolen bases. In two years as a Cavalier, Graves hold the career record for most steals with 72 and is second in career at bats with 90. Graves was a NJCAA Region II All Region 2nd team selection.
Nate Reid led the team in 2010 in batting average with .417 in 175 at bats and was second on the team in RBIs with 74. Nate finished his sophomore season as a Region IV All Region 1st team selection and an NJCAA Division II All American.

Phillip Striggow will continue to play at NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Striggow, a 2010 Region IV All Region 1st team selection, finished his sophomore season with a .390 batting average in 177 at bats. Striggow led the 2010 squad  in homeruns (16) and RBIs (77).

At KCC, the team accumulated a 99-28-2 record and helped lead Coach Todd Post's KCC squad to a third-place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association National Tournament in 2009
