Cavaliers Centerfielder Neil DeCook Signs at Western Illinois University

Neil DeCook has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Western Illinois University for the 20012-13 season. DeCook, who played baseball locally at Kankakee High School, started every game in centerfield for the Cavaliers as a freshman in 2011.

He hit .353 with 44 RBI’s, 81 runs, 7 triples, 14 doubles, 76 hits and 25 stolen bases. Defensively, DeCook has 6 outfield assists, 122 putouts and a .975 fielding percentage. “Neil is a 5 tool player and will be a big part of our team again this year,” says KCC head coach Todd Post. “He will be a great fit for WIU and we are excited for Neil signing at a Division I program.”
