Highland had built a lead as big as 8pts and Kankakee just hung around. Toward the end of the first half, Kankakee put together a run (12-4) to take a 45-38 lead to the locker room. Highland scored the first 6pts to start the second half by making the score (45-44), then Kankakee got back on track again, and controlled the entire second half by building a lead as big as 14pts before the final score.
