The KCC women's volleyball team downed Moraine Valley C.C. in three games on Friday evening.
Jessica White led the way in kills with 11, Kaitlyn Olshefski recorded 9 kills while Alexandra Fink and Marjorie Pielli had 7 and 6 kills, respectively. Mikala Gentory picked up 15 digs while Fink dished out 17 set assists.
The Cavaliers will host South Suburban College on Tuesday. Game time is at 6 p.m..

The KCC women's volleyball team claimed 2nd place in the Early Bird Challenge over the weekend, after losing to East Central C.C.in the second match of the tournament.
In the first match, the Cavs downed Joliet Junior College 25-9, 25-12, 25-21. Marjorie Pielli led the team in kills with 12 while Kaitlyn Olshefski added 5. Emily Cordes recorded 13 set assists and Alexandra Fink had 12. Amanda Tekus had 9 digs in the win.
In the second match, the team fell to East Central C.C. 19-25, 11-25, 24-26. Amanda Tekus picked up 15 digs in the loss while Alexandra Fink and Kaitlyn Olshefski and 12 and 10 digs, respectively. Emily Cordes dished out 9 set assists while Olshefski recorded a team high 8 kills. Kylee James helped the Cavaliers with 2 solo blocks.
On Saturday, the Cavaliers defeated Shawnee C.C. 25-21, 25-19, 25-10. Jessica White led the team with 9 kills while Kylee James and Marjorie Pielli each had 7. Emily Cordes had 19 set assists while Alexandra Fink had 12 assists and 7 digs. Amanda Tekus led the way with 10 digs with Marjorie Pielli right behind her recording 9.
In the final game of the Early Bird Challenge the team snuck past Prairie State College 18-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20,15-13. Marjorie Pielli ended with 17 kills, 7 digs and 1.5 blocks while Kaitlyn Olshefski had 10 kills and 18 digs. Alexandra Fink recorded 8 kills, 13 assists, 6 digs and 2 blocks and Emily Cordes ended with 23 assists and 5 digs. Jessica White, Kylee James and Amanda Tekus all had 4 kills in the win.
The Cavaliers will play at Moraine Valley C.C. on Wednesday. Game time is 6 p.m..

The KCC women's volleyball team played in a tri-match at Ancilla College over the weekend, defeating the host school 25-18, 25-12, 25-23 but falling to Vincennes University 20-25, 13-25, 25-27.
In the first match, Alexandra Fink led the way in kills with 8 while Kaitlyn Olshefski ended with 7 kills. Emily Cordes dished out 13 set assists while Fink, Mikala Gentory and Marjorie Pielli each had 11 digs.
In the second game, Marjorie Pielli slammed down 14 kills.  Alexandria Fink recorded 11 assists and 12 digs while Amanda Tekus ended with a team high 17 digs.
The Cavaliers will host Morton College on Wednesday.  Game time is at 6 p.m.

The KCC women's volleyball team claimed second place in the College of Lake County Tournament over the weekend. 
In game one, the Cavaliers defeated Elgin C.C. 22-25, 25-13, 15-8. Majorie Pielli led the way in kills with 8 while Kaitlyn Olshefski recorded 7 kills.  Emily Cordes dished out 11 assists and Alexandra Fink had 10 assists.  Libero's Amanda Tekus and Mikala Gentory picked up 13 and 12 digs, respectively.
In game two, the team fell to Lincoln Land C.C. 19-25, 22-25.  Jessica White and Kaitlyn Olshefski both recorded 6 kills while Alexandra Fink had 4.  Fink dished out 7 assists while Emily Cordes recorded 9 assists. 
In the third game, the Cavaliers defeated South Suburban College 25-17, 25-18. Mikala Gentory finished the game with 10 digs while Erin Starry had 8.  Emily Cordes had 20 assists while Kaitlyn Olshefski led the way with 6 kills. Jessica White and Majorie Pielli both finished with 5 kills apiece.
In the Cavaliers fourth game of the tournament, they won against Anoka-Ramsey College 25-23, 25-22.
Alexandra Fink and Marjorie Pielli both ended with 5 kills while Kaitlyn Olshefski recorded 7 kills. Emily Cordes had 15 assists while Fink had 10 assists. Amanda Tekus led the way in digs with 17.
The Cavaliers played in the semifinals against the host College of Lake County. The Cavaliers won 25-14, 25-6. Kaitlyn Olshefski ended with 8 kills while Marjorie Pielli had 7. Alexandra Fink recorded 6 kills and Jessica White slammed down 4. Fink picked up 9 digs and had 8 assists while Emily Cordes ended with 8 digs and 9 assists.
In the championship game, the Cavaliers fell to Lincoln Land C.C. for the second time, 28-26, 23-25, 13-15. Marjorie Pielli ended with 12 kills while Alexandra Fink had 11.  Kylee James ended with 5 kills and 2 blocks while Amanda Tekus picked up 19 digs.  Alexandra Fink and Kaitlyn Olshefski were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Cavaliers will play at South Suburban College on Tuesday. Game time is at 6 p.m.

The KCC volleyball team was unable to place in the KCC Invitational going 2-3 over the weekend.
In game one, the Cavaliers fell to Rock Valley College 13-25, 23-25, 24-26.  Marjorie Pielli ended with 8 kills and 8 digs while Alexandra Fink had 7 kills, 8 digs and 10 assists. Kaitlyn Olshefski recorded 6 kills while Jessica White ended with 5.  Amanda Tekus led the way in digs with 21 while Mikala Gentory and Emily Cordes recorded 11 digs apiece.
Against Madison Area Technical College the Cavaliers won 25-22, 25-15, 21-25, 25-19. Pielli ended with 16 kills and 8 digs while Fink had 11 kills, 21 assists and 16 digs. Jessica White recorded 10 kills and Mikala Gentory ended with 15 digs.  Kylee James had 3 blocks in the win.
In the third game against Muskegan C.C. the team fell 19-25, 25-23, 23-25, 24-26.  Olshefski recorded a team high 14 kills while Pielli ended with 13. Fink followed close behind with 11 kills. Fink dished out 23 assists while Emily Cordes had 21. Mikala Gentory led the way in digs with 29 and Jessica White had 4 blocks.
Against Region IV opponent, McHenry County College, the Cavaliers fell 14-25,19-25, 25-22,17-25. Pielli and Olshefski each had 9 kills while Alexandra Fink and Emmaleigh Halweg had 5 kills each. Fink dished out 14 assists while Cordes had 13. Gentory picked up 15 digs, Fink had 16 digs and Amanda Tekus finished with 12 digs.
In their final match of the tournament, the Cavaliers downed Ancilla College 25-16, 20-25, 25-19, 25-13. Marjorie Pielli ended with 15 kills, Kaitlyn Olshefski had 13, Fink recorded 10 and Kylee James ended with 8 kills.  Emily Cordes dished out 21 assists while Fink had 18.  Amanda Tekus ended with 23 digs, Pielli had 15 and Fink and Gentory ended with 10 digs apiece.
Alexandra Fink was named to the KCC Invitational All-Tournament Team.  The team will play at McHenry County College on Thursday.  Game time is at 6 p.m.

The KCC women's volleyball team downed Elmhurst College in three games during their Tri-Match on Saturday, which also included College of Lake County.
Alexandra Fink recorded 10 kills and 11 assists in the win, while Kaitlyn Olshefski had 6 kills and Kylee James 3. Mikala Gentory, Olshefski and Amanda Tekus all finished with 8 digs.
Against College of Lake County, the Cavaliers came out on top again in three games. Olshefski ended with 12 kills while Alexandra Fink dished out 18 assists. Mikala Gentory recorded a team high 30 digs and Emily Cordes had 11 assists. The Cavaliers will host Calumet College of St. Joseph on Wednesday. Game time is at 6 p.m. All proceeds from the gate will be donated to the Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Rally. Wear your Pink shirts in the stands to show your support.

In the first game of the Cavalier Classic the Cavaliers took on Danville Area C.C. and won 25-22, 25-13, 25-15.
Marjorie Pielli led with 9 kills and 2 blocks while Kylee James and Kaitlyn Olshefski slammed down 5 kills apiece. Alexandra Fink and Emily Cordes both recorded 11 assists and Mikala Gentory and Fink had 7 digs in the win.

Against John A. Logan College the team fell 20-25, 21-25, 23-25. Pielli led in kills with 14 while Kaitlyn Olshefski had 8. Alexandra Fink recorded 17 assists while Emily Cordes had 13 and Amanda Tekus finished with a team high 22 digs.
The Cavaliers came out on top of Milwaukee Area Tech. College 25-14, 25-14, 25-13. Fink and Pielli both ended with 9 kills while Jessica White recorded 4 kills. Amanda Tekus had 14 digs while Pielli recorded 13. Fink and Cordes dished out 12 and 13 assists, respectively.
Jackson C.C. took the Cavaliers all 5 games before the Cavaliers came out on top, 25-17, 23-25, 25-17, 16-25, 15-6.
Pielli and Olshefski both ended with 13 kills while Emmaleigh Halweg had 11. Emily Cordes dished out 28 assists and Mikala Gentory recorded 39 digs. Jessica White ended with a team high 4 blocks.

In their final match against Illinois Valley C.C. the Cavaliers won 25-14, 25-21, 25-18. Pielli and Fink recorded 12 and 15 kills, respectively, while Cordes dished out 19 assists. Fink ended with 17 assists. Tekus led the way in digs with 15 and Kylee James had a team high 2 blocks. Marjorie Pielli was named to the All Tournament team.
The Cavaliers will play at Oakton C.C. on Wednesday. Game time is at 6 p.m.

In the first game of the Lincoln Land C.C. tournament, the Cavaliers took on Highland C.C. (KS) and won 26-24, 21-25, 25-13, 25-21. Kaitlyn Olshefski and Jessica White finished with 10 kills each while Marjorie Pielli had 12. Emily Cordes dished out 19 assists and Mikala Gentory and Amanda Tekus recorded 18 and 21 digs, respectively.
In the second match the Cavaliers played East Central (MO) and fell 21-25, 23-25, 28-26, 25-21 and 1-15.
Pielli ended with 11 kills while Olshefski had 9. White and Kylee James both ended with 5 kills in the loss. Alexandra Fink dished out 21 assists and Mikala Gentory picked up 20 digs.
Against Allen County the Cavaliers won 17-25, 23-25, 29-27, 25-19, 15-9. Pielli finished with 16 kills while Fink had 13 kills, 19 assists and 13 digs. Kylee James recorded 6 kills while Mikala Gentory picked up 33 digs.
In their final match against Lincoln Land C.C. the Cavaliers lost 27-25, 14-25, 21-25, 26-24, 10-15.
Olshefski and Pielli ended with 11 kills while James recorded 10. Fink dished out 26 assists and Emily Cordes had 24 assists. Amanda Tekus led the way in digs with 36.
Mikala Gentory was named to the All Tournament team.

Emmaleigh Halweg led the way with 10 kills while Heather Tolson recorde 8 kills. Amanda Wulff led the way in assists with 20 and Whitney Smith picked up 20 digs in the win. Freshman, Arius Seay finished the match with 6 kills and Taylor O'Keefe led the way in blocks with 2.5.

Heather Tolson ended with 12 kills, 14 assists and 9 digs while Emmaleigh Halweg recorded 9 kills and 15 digs. Amanda Wulff led the way in assists with 26 while Whitney Smith recorded a team high 16 digs.

Lindsay Thompson led the way in kills with 9 while Emmaleigh Halweg and Heather Tolson finished with 3 and 2 kills, respectively. Amanda Wulff dished out 9 assists while Whitney Smith picked up 20 digs.

Emmaleigh Halweg led the way with 19 kills while Kristen Hart slammed down 10. Ashley Butt finished the match with 9 kills, 2 service aces, 4 digs and 2.5 blocks while Amanda Wulff and Heather Tolson dished out 29 set assists each.

Brittni Manietta led the way with 8 kills and Khassandrae Schmidt, Lindsay Thompson, Heather Tolson and Emmaleigh Halweg all recorded 4 kills. Amanda Wulff led the way in assists with 14 while Whitney Smith and Heather Fletcher picked up 21 and 15 digs, respectively.
