Dan Denton
Dan Denton brings 33 years of basketball coaching experience to the Cavaliers program.
His philosophy: “If you play and work harder than your opponent, good things will eventually happen to you.”
Coach Denton started his coaching career as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Olney Central College in 1979. After four years, he moved to head coaching, including leading Assumption High School (three years), Buckley-Loda High School (three-years), St. Elmo High School (10 years), and East Richland High School (six years).
Coach Denton’s teams have accumulated more than 350 wins. As head coach, Denton and his teams have won nine conference titles, three regional titles and a final four appearance in 1988.
Coach Denton resides in Clifton with his wife, Chris. Dan and Chris have two grown daughters, Nikki and Samantha.
