Pharmacy Technician

Introduction to Becoming a Pharmacy Technician
Entry-level individuals with no prior experience in the pharmacy technician field will receive a basic understanding of the pharmacy profession. In addition to learning medical terminology, participants will study medications and their uses, dosage calculations and conversions, pharmacy law, reading prescriptions and will become aware of various pharmacy practice settings. A certificate of completion will be given following fulfillment of the course requirements. Instructor: Jim Shafer, registered pharmacist. $579, includes textbook, study guide, pharmacy drug cards, student handbook and activity supplies.
