State Universities Annuitants Association |
KCC Chapter
What is SUAA?
The State Universities Annuitants Association (SUAA) is a not-for-profit organization created in 1971 to promote the interests and welfare of State Universities Retirement System (SURS) retirees, their spouses, and survivors.
The KCC Chapter of SUAA, and chapters at other colleges, monitor state funding for the SURS pension program and the State Health Insurance Plan, follow the appropriations of mandated state contributions, and monitor annual increases for retirees and survivors.
What are SUAA's goals?
- Improve retirement benefits for current and future annuitants
- Monitor group health insurance benefits
- Check on the activities of our legislators in Springfield
- Voice concerns about retirement
Who can join?
Membership is open to all full-time or part-time KCC employees who contribute to the State University Retirement system (SURS), their spouses and survivors, as well as those who retired under the SURS system.
How do I join?
Contact any of the chapter officers or go to www.suaa.org to learn more about the organization and print off an application. Our voice becomes stronger with every new member that joins our chapter. Become part of this effort.
