Application Process

Most KCC health career programs use a competitive-entry admission process. To enroll in a competitive entry program:

  1. Complete all steps for admission to KCC.
  2. Meet the program's minimum records, residency, and academic eligibility requirements. To review program eligibility, please review the downloadable PDF's below.
  3. Receive clearance from a health career advisor to take the HESI A2 exam once all program eligibility requirements are completed. To make an appointment to meet with a health career advisor, please call Student Services at 815-802-8500.
  4. An applicant must then pass the HESI A2 exam with a comprehensive score of 70% or higher prior to the HESI A2 testing deadline in order to be considered for acceptance. RN and RN OPT I applicants must pass the HESI A2 exam with a comprehensive score of 75% or higher prior to the HESI A2 testing deadline in order to be considered for acceptance. This is effective for Fall 2018 applicants.
