MLT Online

Course delivery

Classes in the Medical Laboratory Technology program are offered online or in a hybrid format.

Some on-campus time is required

All classes require a face-to-face orientation on the first day of class and at another time during the semester for the presentation of a research project. Hybrid online students are required to come on campus every other week for a hands-on laboratory component or to complete the laboratory component at a local cooperating/affiliated hospital laboratory, if available.

Total length of program

Four semesters or 16 months

Enrollment process

You must complete the application process to enroll in the MLT program. You cannot take program courses until you are accepted into the program. Learn more about the MLT application process.

Retraining or refresher course options

To enroll in a course for review, retraining or personal advancement, you must receive sign-off and a waiver of eligibility requirements from the program director. Courses can be taken for credit or audit purposes.
