Students planning to transfer from KCC to four-year colleges or universities to complete their baccalaureate degrees can receive assistance through the Transfer Center. The goal of the Transfer Center is to increase the number of students who complete degree requirements at KCC and successfully transfer to four-year institutions.
KCC participates in the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI), a statewide transfer agreement for general education courses.
To find out how more of your courses will count towards a bachelor's degree, visit the MyCreditsTransfer website that is available through iTransfer. Information about how courses transfer between participating institutions, the majors institutions offer, the graduation requirements for different majors, and how course credits transfer to satisfy degree requirements is available. You will need to create an account to use the resources available on the site. A new feature available to KCC students is the course import function which lets you load your KCC coursework into a transfer institution's degree plan to see how your courses will fulfill the four-year degree requirements.
To learn more about KCC's Transfer Center, choose the Transfer Center "Services" tab.
Online bachelor's degree completion
Offered through partnerships, the online bachelor's degree completion programs provide students with a convenient way to earn their bachelor's degree. KCC currently has bachelor's degree completion agreements with the University of Illinois Online; Franklin University of Columbus, Ohio; the University of Illinois at Springfield; Eastern Illinois University; Olivet Nazarene University, Western Illinois University and the University of St. Francis.
Some online bachelor's degree completion programs will combine on-campus classes at KCC with online courses through these universities and some will require the completion of an associate degree prior to enrolling in the bachelor's degree completion program.
