How to apply to the program 

Please read through the following application procedures for the Baccalaureate Scholars Program carefully and note the dates listed. If you have any questions about the application process--including whether or not you are eligible to apply--do not hesitate to contact the program coordinator at 815-802-8208 or email slamore@kcc.edu.

  1. Print the  Instructor or Counselor Recommendation form. Fill in your name and signature on the form where indicated. Ask one instructor or counselor to complete the rest of the form and to return it directly to the Baccalaureate Scholars Program office. You may provide them with a self-addressed stamped envelope if you wish.
  2. Complete the  Baccalaureate Scholars application form and required essays. Submit all application materials to the Baccalaureate Scholars Program. Be sure your name and signature appear on each page.
  3. Request that your high school transcripts be sent to the KCC Office of Admissions and Registration after you complete your seventh semester.
  4. Submit your ACT scores on your high school transcript or have them sent directly to the KCC Office of Admissions and Registration.
  5. Submit a completed  KCC Admissions Form.
  6. To facilitate a timely review of your application, review the  Application Checklist.
  7. Submit all materials by April 1 to be considered for first-round admission.
