Eligibility 

Below are the basic eligibility requirements for the 2012-13 scholarship year. For details about each scholarship, review the 2012-13 Scholarship Program booklet. 

Returning KCC student:

• Properly complete and submit an application no later than May 2, 2012, to KCC's Foundation Office
• Completed 12 or more semester hours at KCC at the time of application
• Earned a minimum 2.5 KCC cumulative GPA (for academic scholarships)
• Attend a minimum number of hours at KCC, based on scholarship requirements and KCC policy
• Reside in the KCC district, unless otherwise stated for specific scholarships

2012 high school graduate:

• Properly complete and submit an application no later than May 2, 2012, high school counselor as specified in the scholarship description
• Include a copy of your high-school academic transcript
• Earned a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for academic scholarships
• Attend a minimum number of hours at KCC, based on scholarship requirements and KCC policy
• Reside in the KCC district, unless otherwise stated for specific scholarships

New KCC student:

• Properly complete and submit an application no later than May 2, 2012, to KCC's Foundation Office
• Completed 12 or more semester hours at KCC at the time of application
• Earned a minimum 2.5 KCC cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in high school. Transfer students from other institutions must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for all college coursework.
• Attend a minimum number of hours at KCC, based on scholarship requirements and KCC policy
• Reside in the KCC district, unless otherwise stated for specific scholarships

You must meet and continue to meet the eligibility criteria throughout the 2012-13 academic year. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee that an applicant will receive an award.
