TRiO Student Support Services 

The TRiO Student Support Services program assists the following categories of students who are seeking to transfer to four-year institutions to complete bachelor's degrees: students who are first-generation, students who are eligible for financial aid and students who are disabled. A first-generation student is a student whose parents have not received bachelor's degrees.

  • Personalized academic counseling
  • Assistance with course registration
  • Counseling to select the career or major best suited to the student
  • Assistance with applications for financial aid and scholarships
  • Meetings with a variety of college representatives
  • Assistance with the transfer process
  • Study groups with other students in the same classes
  • Referrals for tutoring services
  • Workshops for TRiO and other college students
  • Cultural experiences for TRiO students, including trips to career sites, community events, theatrical or musical entertainment and social events
  • Personal e-mail accounts
  • Promotion of student success
