Prospective Students
Rotaract is a college-based organization that is sponsored by the local Kankakee Rotary Club. Rotary International is a worldwide service organization for leading business and professional men and women with 29,000 Rotary clubs and more than 1.2 million members. The Rotaract Club at KCC is open to all KCC students.
Rotaract activities include professional development, leadership development, and service projects. Each Rotaract Club is required to complete at least two major service projects annually, one to serve the community and the other to promote international understanding. If you were in Key Club in high school, this is the KCC club for you!
Meetings will be on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. in the College Center:
All KCC students are welcome at Rotaract meetings.
In conjunction with the Rotaract Club, KCC offers a one-credit-hour Volunteerism course every fall semester. The course is intended to give students a theoretical background in volunteerism and service learning. Topics include the history of volunteerism and voluntary organizations, along with volunteerism's role in democracy. For more information about the Rotaract Club at KCC or the Volunteerism course, contact Susan LaMore at 815-802-8208 or e-mail slamore@kcc.edu.
