Literature Resource Center - Biographical information, literary criticisms and reviews on more than 130,000 writers in all disciplines, from all time periods from around the world. Access is available off-campus by using your KCC username and password.

JSTOR - Digital library of more than 1,500 academic journals, books, and primary sources in all disciplines.  Off-campus access is available using your KCC username and password.

Sage Deep Backfiles - Access to older issues of scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, technical and medical fields.

Newspapers

America's Newspapers - Electronic editions of local, regional and national U.S. newspapers, including 274 in Illinois and 175 in the Chicago area. Access is available off-campus by using your KCC username and password.

Harper's Weekly - Electronic images of this 19th century newspaper. Access is available on-campus only.

Kankakee Daily Journal - Limited online access to this local newspaper.

Video Clips

Films on Demand - Searchable collection of more than 10,000 videos and video clips, on topics such as humanities, business, science, health, job searching, and much more. An account must be set up on-campus in order to use this resource off-campus.

Classical Music in Video - Contains over 400 hours of classical music performances and master classes captured on video, including performances of all forms of classical music, major orchestral performances by leading orchestras, plus chamber music, oratorio, and solo performances, along with master classes and interviews with master teachers from around the world.

Education in Video - Contains more than 1,300 hours of teaching demonstrations, lectures, documentaries, and primary-source footage of students and teachers in actual classrooms. It will give education faculty, students, and in-service teachers a single source for the best research-based professional development video resources available.

New World Cinema:  Independent Features and Shorts - includes over 200 full-length feature films from leading independent distributors such as Kino Lorber, First Run Features, Film Movement, MK2, and Global Lens. There are also some 50 award winning short films.  All films were presented at major film festivals, many were nominated for awards, and many have won major awards. Collectively the films in the database have won more than 1,000 awards.

Nursing Education in Video - videos created specifically for the education and training of nurses, nursing assistants, and other healthcare workers.

ipl2 - High quality Internet sources grouped by subject. This collection is a result of a merger between the Internet Public Library and The Librarian's Internet Index. Selections for the collection are selected and evaluated for quality.

Internet Archives - A collection of more than 2 million full-text books, 500,000 audio recordings and 2.5 million moving images. Items in the collection range from very old texts to popular music recordings. Also includes the Wayback Machine, which allows you to see how almost any website has changed through the years.
