- If you are not sure, start the process with the Career Assessment Inventory (CAI) available at KCC's Assessment Office.
Identify your academic strengths and weaknesses.
- What kind of skills do you have? Do you want to transfer to a four-year college or university after KCC?
- Take a look at the high school courses you have taken. What are your best subjects?
- What kinds of extracurricular activities have you been involved in?
- What did you learn from part-time or summer jobs?
- Start with the ASSET test at KCC and visit the KCC Career Services Office.
Determine your personality type.
- Personality characteristics are an important factor and are often not considered when choosing a career goal.
