- Jan. 23, 2009—Last day to enroll for spring 2009 classes and have classes included in students enrollment status in setermining PELL Grant eligibilities for the spring 2009 semester
- Feb. 12, 2009—Earliest First-Time Borrower Loan Delivery Date for spring 2009 semester **
- Feb. 18, 2009—PELL and SEOG disbursed to students returning a signed award letter by Jan. 30
- April 15, 2009—PELL, SEOG and IIA gerants disbursed to students returning a signed award letter by April 3
- April16, 2009—Disbursement Date for Excess Funds in student's account associated with the KCC Foundation Scholarships for the spring 2009 semester
- April 27, 2009—File must be complete to use financial aid for payment of registration for summer classes starting the week of May 18 *
- May 13, 2009—PELL and SEOG disbursed to students returning a signed award letter by May 1
- May 15, 2009—File must be complete to use financial aid for payment of registration for summer classes starting the week of June 8 *
- May 26, 2009—Earliest summer 2009 loan delivery date for 1st, 2nd or 3rd Loan Disbursement **
- June 5, 2009—Last day to enroll for summer 2009 classes and have classes included in student's enrollment status in determining PELL Grant eligibility for the summer 2009 term
- July 8, 20090—Earliest First-Time borrower loan delivery date for summer 2009 term **
- July 15, 2009—PELL and SEOG disbursed to students returning a signed award letter by July 2
- July 16, 2009—Disbursement date for excess funds in student's acocunt related to KCC Foundation Scholarships for the summer 2009 semester
- July 24, 2009—All required Financial Aid related forms must be turned in and accurate for a summer 2009 PELL award to be processed
- Aug. 12, 2009—Final disbursement date for summer 2009 Financial Aid refunds. A signed award letter must be returned by July 31, 2009 to receive a disbursement
- Sept. 9, 2009—Final disbursement date for fall 2008, spring 2009 and summer 2009 from all award sources
* Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information must have been received by KCC and all supporting documents must have been submitted with accurate information
** All classes used to determine enrollment status must have started prior to loan disbursement
2009 - 2010 Award Year
Fall 2009
- Jan. 1, 2009 – 2009-10 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may be filed
- Mid-January – Foundation Scholarship applications available in the Office of Financial Aid
- April 17, 2009 – Scholarship application deadline for most foundation awards
- July 15, 2009 – Priority Date: Required documentation for grant or loan assistance must be submitted and complete to avoid being dropped at the August 7, 2009 fall preregistration payment due date*
- July 15, 2009 – Priority SEOG and MAP funds are anticipated to be exhausted by this date
- July 2009 – MAP re-computed: MAP awards may be adjusted and shortfalls billed to students
- July 31, 2009 – Deadline Date: Required documentation for grant or loan assistance must be submitted and complete for grant/loan processing. * File must be processed and awards activated before students can register for fall classes without payment due.
- August 2009 – Must be registered to be considered for student employment eligibility for the fall 2009 semester
- Aug. 24, 2009 – Earliest repeat borrower loan delivery date for fall 2009 semester **
- Sept. 4, 2009 – Last day to enroll for fall 2009 classes (including 8 week and late starting classes) and have them included in student’s enrollment status in determining PELL grant eligibility for the fall 2009 semester
- Sept. 4, 2009 – Last day to purchase all books and supplies in the bookstore using an eligible PELL grant including all 8 week and late starting fall classes
- Sept. 24, 2009 – Earliest first-time borrower loan delivery date for fall 2009 semester **
- Sept. 30, 2009 – PELL and SEOG disbursed to students with completed files and activated awards by September 7, 2009
- Oct. 8, 2009 – Disbursement date for Excess Funds in student’s account associated with scholarships for the fall 2009 semester
- Nov. 18, 2009 – Fall PELL, SEOG and IIA grants disbursed to students with completed files and activated awards by October 28, 2009
- Nov. 20, 2009 – Priority Date: Required documentation for grant or loan assistance must be submitted and complete to avoid being dropped at the Dec. 11, 2009 spring preregistration payment due date*
- Nov. 30, 2009 – File must be complete and awards activated for a fall MAP award to be processed*
- December 2009 – Must be registered to be considered for student employment eligibility for the spring 2010 semester
- Dec. 9, 2009 – PELL and SEOG disbursed to students with completed files and activated awards by November 16, 2009
- Dec. 11, 2009 – Deadline Date: Required documentation for grant or loan assistance must be submitted and complete for grant/loan processing. * File must be processed and awards activated before students can register for spring classes without payment due.
Spring/Summer 2010
- Jan. 11, 2010 - Earliest spring 2010 loan delivery date for 1st or 2nd loan disbursements **
- Jan. 20, 2010 - Fall PELL and SEOG disbursed to students with completed files and activated awards by December 21, 2009
- Jan. 22, 2010 - Last day to enroll for spring 2010 classes (including 8 week and late starting classes) and have them included in student’s enrollment status in determining PELL grant eligibility for the spring 2010 semester
- Jan 22, 2010 - Last day to purchase all books and supplies in the bookstore using an eligible PELL grant including all 8 week and late starting spring classes
- Feb. 11, 2010 - Earliest first-time borrower loan delivery date for spring 2010 semester **
- Feb. 17, 2010 - Spring PELL and SEOG disbursed to students with completed files and activated awards by January 25, 2010
- Feb. 25, 2010 - Disbursement date for Excess Funds in student’s account associated with scholarships for the spring 2010 semester
- April 14, 2010 - Spring PELL, SEOG and IIA grants disbursed to students with completed files and activated awards by March 22, 2010
- May 1, 2010 - Deadline Date: Required documentation for grant or loan assistance must be submitted and complete for grant/loan processing. * File must be processed and awards activated before students can register for 6 week summer classes without payment due.
- May 12, 2010 - Spring PELL and SEOG disbursed to students with completed files and activated awards by April 19, 2010
- May 24, 2010 - Deadline Date: Required documentation for grant or loan assistance must be submitted and complete for grant/loan processing. * File must be processed and awards activated before students can register for 8 week summer classes without payment due.
- May 25, 2010 - Earliest summer 2010 loan delivery date for 1st, 2nd or 3rd loan disbursements **
- June 16, 2010 - Last day to enroll for summer 2010 classes (including 8 week and late starting classes) and have them included in student’s enrollment status in determining PELL grant eligibility for the summer 2010 semester
- June 16, 2010 - Last day to purchase all books and supplies in the bookstore using an eligible PELL grant including all 6 and 8 week summer classes
- June 30, 2010 - Last day to file a 2009-2010 FAFSA and it must have a valid expected family contribution (EFC) amount from the federal processor
- July 8, 2010 - Earliest first-time borrower loan delivery date for summer 2010 term **
- July 15, 2010 - Summer PELL and SEOG disbursed to students with completed files by June 21, 2010
- July 22, 2010 - Disbursement date for Excess Funds in student’s account related to scholarships for the summer 2010 semester
- July 23, 2010 - Priority Date: Required documentation must be submitted, complete and accurate for a summer 2010 PELL award to be processed
- Aug. 11, 2010 - Final PELL and SEOG disbursed to students with completed files by July 19, 2010
- Sept. 8, 2010 - Final disbursement date for fall 2009, spring 2010 and summer 2010 from all award sources
