The TRiO Bucks program encourages students to participate in TRiO-sponsored events. Not only do students gain valuable academic and social skills through active participation but they also receive TRiO Bucks, which are redeemable for academic-related gifts.

The program begins annually on August 1, and students have the opportunity to redeem their earned TRiO Bucks throughout the academic year. TRiO Bucks expire each year on July 31.

Events in which students may participate include cultural trips, academic workshops, college visits, career-related activities, and special individual projects such as peer tutoring.

Some TRiO Bucks gifts include, KCC Bookstore certificates, Barnes & Noble gift cards, pre-paid fuel cards, minicassette recorders, scientific calculators, USB flash drives, dictionaries and more!
