High school graduates and non-graduates whose classes have graduated are eligible for admission to KCC. Students who are in the process of completing their high school diploma or GED may take classes at KCC with certain restrictions. High school students interested in Dual Credit or Dual Enrollment should contact Recruitment Services at 815-802-8508. All other students should contact Admissions with questions at 815-802-8520 for more information.

Start by submitting an Admissions Form several weeks prior to the semester that you plan to attend KCC. You may apply for admissions right up until classes begin each semester, but do not wait too long because it might delay your enrollment and limit your course selection. It is the college's policy to accept all students for admissions; however, some programs have additional admission requirements such as health careers. See Selective Admissions to learn more.

If you are seeking a degree, please request an official transcript (mailed directly from the school or hand delivered in the original sealed envelope) from your high school. If you are seeking credit to be awarded and/or financial aid, please request transcripts from all previously-attended colleges. Have transcripts mailed directly to:

Students and prospective students who are interested in applying for financial assistance to attend KCC can learn more about Financial Aid or Scholarships to determine what type of aid may be available. Students may apply for financial assistance as determined by their individual applications and deadlines posted on these web pages.

Placement testing increases your success

You may be required to take our COMPASS test so classes can be selected which maximize your chance for success. If you would like to have ACT scores on file at KCC, request that scores be sent electronically from ACT to KCC's Office of Admissions and Registration by going to http://www.act.org/.
