Registration Checklist 

Complete an Admissions Form.

Learn the registration dates for the next semester.

Official trancripts should be sent directly to the Office of Admissions and Registration from your high school. College transcripts are only necessary for students seeking credit or for financial aid students. An official GED score report (if applicable) should be sent directly from the appropriate GED center/agency.

If you are requesting financial aid, you must also have your transcript evaluated by the Registrar.

To be eligible for PELL and ISAC MAP awards, apply for financial aid at least three months before you wish to use the award.

If you are applying for a Foundation scholarship, applications are available in January and usually have a mid-March deadline.

Make an appointment with an advisor to develop a course schedule--call 815-802-8500 or e-mail studentservices@kcc.edu. The earlier you make your appointment and register, the better the class selection will be.

Purchase your books. The bookstore is on the first floor at the far east end of the building or visit the bookstore online.

Once enrolled, read your course syllabi carefully, especially watching for deadlines and last day for a full refund. Refund dates are printed on your registration form and may be different for each course.
