Counseling Referral Services 

Student Services plays an important role in the mission of Kankakee Community College - "Enhancing quality of life through learning."

We hope to help you develop and learn academically, personally and interpersonally. The college also offers opportunities for your to assess your abilities and interests realistically, and to develop life management skills.

Your KCC education provides an opportunity for self-understanding. Your time here will be exciting, challenging, and sometimes stressful.

Advisors at KCC can help you grow, be successful, and develop and understanding of yourself and your relationships.  We can help your with the adjustment to college, with career and educational choices/goals, and with problems and barriers that may interfere with academic success.

Referral Services

Many times, it would be nice to have someone who will work with your to solve academic problems.  The Student Services staff at KCC will help you address:

  • Difficulty adjusting to college
  • Test anxiety
  • Academic difficulties
  • Problem-solving issues
  • Communication skills
  • Building effective relationships

Associated Counseling
Provides individual, family and couples counseling and psychological testing from offices in Midlothian, Bradley and Kankakee. Free online screenings are available through their website.
