Health Careers

Monica JohnsonMonica Johnson has a bachelor's degree in human resources from Western Illinois University and a master's degree in education from Capella University. She also attended Oklahoma State University, where she was a graduate assistant in the counseling and student personnel program.

Johnson has been with KCC since 2001, where she has also served as coordinator of recruitment services and institutional research coordinator.

She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and watching movies.

Patricia-Santoyo-Marin-DSC_0330.jpgPatricia Santoyo-Marin holds a self-created Bachelor of Arts in Latina/o Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in higher Education Leadership for a Global Society.

Santoyo-Marin joined KCC in 2018 and serves as a Health Careers Academic Advisor. Prior to KCC, she served as director and assistant dean of students at Augustana College, founding associate director at DePaul University, instructor for University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, outreach and retention specialist at Joliet Junior College and project coordinator at the University of Notre Dame.

Patricia enjoys spending time with family, cooking and volunteering to help empower youth.
