Health Careers

Novalla ColemanNovalla Coleman has an associate in applied science degree in paralegal studies from Robert Morris University, a bachelor's degree in applied behavioral science, and a master's degree in adult, continuing and literacy education from National Louis University. In addition, she has a master's degree in psychology from Capella University.

Coleman is an academic advisor, specializing in the health careers programs. She has been with KCC since 2008. Prior to serving as an advisor, she worked as a career specialist with the Workforce Investment Act program. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, writing, and creating new dishes.

Kathryn WachtorKathryn Wachtor has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Governors State University and a master’s degree in political and justice studies from Governors State University. She has worked as a DuPage County and Cook County case manager for the Trade Act and the Workforce Investment Act program.

Wachtor also worked for the College of DuPage as a workforce development liaison assisting transitioning adults and dislocated workers.

She enjoys running, reading, and relaxing with family and friends.

Terri EakinsTerri Eakins has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lewis University and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Lewis University. She has worked for Joliet Junior College and Moraine Valley Community College as a counselor and instructor. 

Eakins is a health careers advisor and career counselor, helping students identify their potential careers and majors.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, boating, traveling, and is in the process of writing a book.
