Bonnie Bergeron has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Western Michigan University, in Kalamazoo and a master’s degree in school counseling from Governors State University in University Park. Bergeron has been a full-time academic advisor, specializing in the health careers programs, since July 2007. Before this assignment, she was a part-time advisor while working for state and federal grant-funded programs at KCC since 1996. Before she began as a full-time advisor, Bergeron was director of the TRiO Talent Search program for five years. She lives in Bourbonnais with her husband, Richard, and enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, and genealogy.

Novalla Coleman has an associate in applied science degree in Paralegal Studies from Robert Morris University, a bachelor of arts in Applied Behavioral Science, and a master of education in Adult, Continuing and Literacy Education from National Louis University. In addition, she has a master of science in Psychology degree from Capella University. Novalla is an academic advisor, specializing in the health careers programs. She has been with KCC since 2008. Prior to entering the role of advisor, she worked as a career specialist with the Workforce Investment Act (W.I.A.) program. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, writing, and creating new dishes.
David Hermann has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in counseling from Governors State University. Hermann is a full-time academic advisor, specializing in the transfer programs. Prior to working for KCC, David was an academic advisor at the University of North Texas in Denton. He previously also worked at Momence High School as a teacher's aide and coach for boys basketball and football. Hermann enjoys watching and playing almost any sport as well as listening to music and spending time with friends.
Susan LaMore has been KCC’s coordinator of the Transfer Center since the summer of 2006 and offers help to students with questions regarding transfer to a four-year college or university. Susan graduated from KCC with an associate in arts degree and transferred to Olivet Nazarene University, completing a bachelor of science in management. LaMore serves as the sponsor of KCC’s Rotaract Service Club; and as one of the advisors for Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges. She is also the advisor to see for students who are interested in studying abroad while attending KCC.

Dwayne Musick is an academic advisor with a focus on Business (non-transfer) and Technology. Dwayne has a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Technology from Morehead State University and a master of arts degree in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education from Eastern Kentucky University, both in Kentucky. Dwayne joined KCC as a coordinator with the Upward Bound program and as a part-time academic advisor in June of 1999. In his free time he likes to listen to music, work puzzles and read novels, mainly western and science fiction. He enjoys spending time on the internet and talking to friends.
Meredith Purcell earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. and a master’s degree in education with an emphasis in counseling from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Purcell is a full-time counselor/advisor specializing in transfer programs as well as counseling referral services. She has been with KCC since January 2008. Before KCC, she was the assistant director of student affairs at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago for three years. She has also served as an advisor for four years at the University of Illinois-Chicago and two years at Kishwaukee Community College in Malta. Purcell lives in Manteno with her husband, Andy, two daughters, Grace and Abby and son, Jack. She enjoys running and swimming and has competed in marathons and triathlons, but now spends most of her free time relaxing with her family and reading.

Elise Schultz earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish with an emphasis in secondary education from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and a master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages from the University of Toledo in Ohio. Schultz began as a full-time academic advisor at KCC in May 2008. Previously, she taught English composition courses at KCC on a part-time basis for three years. Before moving to Illinois, Schultz taught English to international students at universities in Ohio and South Carolina, taught Spanish at the college and high school levels, and worked in a university office that coordinated international student services and promoted campus globalization. Schultz lives in Bourbonnais, with her husband, Warren. In her free time, she enjoys ballroom dancing, swimming, language learning, and travel—especially to warm seaside locations.
