KCC offers tutorial services to support students enrolled in a wide range of college courses and individual skill development activities.  See the Tutor Center Overview video!

Online resources

Location

The Learning Assistance Center is in Room L335, on the third floor of the Main Building. This is the location of most tutorial services. In addition, specialized tutors are available in the Health Careers and Technology divisions.

Hours

The hours of the Learning Assistance Center in L335 are:

  • 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday
  • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday

Cost

All tutorial services are FREE!

Tutors wanted

The Academic Skills Center is always looking for more persons to serve as tutors. These are paid positions. Minimum educational and experiential qualifications of KCC tutors are:

  • Tutors must have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours of college coursework.
  • Tutors must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Tutors must have received a GPA of 3.2 or better in the courses that they tutor.
  • Tutors must have a written recommendation from a faculty member.
