Angel Plug-ins and Minimum Requirements

This page contains links to commonly used free software and browser plug-ins. Any or all of these might be required for your course.
- Adobe Acrobat
- Java Runtime (needed for Online Chat)
- QuickTime
- Macromedia Flash
- Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer
- OpenOffice (Compatible with Microsoft Office and free.)
The MINIMUM Hardware Requirements are:
- Access to a pentium class (IBM) machine or PowerPC Macintosh with at least 32 MB of RAM.
- Internet access either via modem and phone line or a direct network connection (highly recommended)
- Internet service provider for home access and/or access from work (must have prior to start of the course).
- Modem: Normally a 28.8 baud modem is acceptable but the faster the modem the better. A 56Kbps modem is preferred.
Software Requirements are:
- Microsoft Word or WordPerfect (or the ability to save in RTF format).
- Web Browser -- Netscape 4.x or Internet Explorer 5.x or higher version (these are free downloadable programs)
AOL NOTE If you use AOL please minimize the AOL browser and use one of the options listed above. - E-mail software or a web browser capable of supporting email activity, including sending/receiving attached files.
