Transfer Center Services

The goal of the Transfer Center staff is to assist students as they prepare to transfer to baccalaurete colleges or universities.

The Transfer Center offers:

  • Individual advisement on course transferability. Also known as an articulation of transfer credits, advisement on course transferability helps students select the classes and programs that will transfer.
  • Opportunities to meet with four-year college and university representatives on KCC's campus. Calendar of upcoming visits and open houses are available on KCC's events page and posted on Transfer Center message boards.
  • College fairs and transfer days held at KCC and in the community.
  • Reference books to assist in the transfer process.
  • Assistance with accessing college and university web sites.
  • Resources to learn more about different colleges such as viewbooks, college catalogs, and videotapes.
  • Assistance in using various transfer websites including the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) and the Course Applicability System (CAS) sites.
