It is the mission of the KCC Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Support Group, known as the Gay Straight Alliance, to provide a safe, non-judgmental forum for discussions of issues that may arise within the local community, where members can speak freely without judgment, and to provide resources and types of assistance available to help members with coping skills and personal situations.
The Gay Straight Alliance works to provide a safe forum to meet, support each other, and talk about issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity. The Gay Straight Alliance is open to all students at KCC who are supportive and affirming of the group’s purpose, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
