We're glad you're here! Whether you are a first-time student, returning from last semester, or haven't been on campus for a while, KCC staff and faculty are here to help.

Stay connected

Join KCC on social media - Keep up-to-date with campus news and events. Major announcements are posted on the college's Facebook page and Twitter account. Several programs and departments have a Facebook presence as well. Check out our comprehensive list of sites and follow your interests.

Canceled class notifications - Throughout the semester, if one of your classes is canceled, you will be notified by phone at least 30 minutes before class begins. Cancellations are also posted on the main KCC website.  

Forward your campus email - Each student has a campus email account, hosted by Google. To ensure that you read your emails; create a rule to forward KCC emails to your personal account.

Books, food, and child care 

Hammes Bookstore hours - Textbooks change from semester to semester. Be sure to have a copy of your class schedule with you, so you purchase the correct books. In addition, you must have your student ID in order to purchase textbooks. For bookstore hours, check out the Hammes Bookstore page.

Child care - On-campus child care is available to students and employees. For hours and more information, check out KCC's Child Development Center.


Information Technology Services - Need help with student email, passwords, Angel and KCConnect? Trying to locate a computer lab? Check out the resources on the ITS Helpdesk website

Tutoring - Get help with your studies. KCC offers free tutoring services for a variety of course subjects.

Transportation - Do you take public transportation? River Valley Metro now stops at KCC three times per hour. Find out more about your transportation options.
