We're glad you're here! Whether you are a first-time student, returning from last semester, or haven't been on campus for a while, KCC staff and faculty are here to help.

Visit the Welcome Center

On campus? Need help? Stop by the Welcome Center, located on the first floor of the Workforce Development Center at KCC's Riverfront Campus. Staff there can assist you in completing various advising, admissions and registration tasks. 

Stay connected

KCC on social media - Keep up-to-date with campus news and events. Major announcements are posted on the college's Facebook page and Twitter account. Several programs and departments have a Facebook presence as well. Check out our comprehensive list of sites and follow your interests.

Canceled class notifications - If one of your classes is canceled, you will be notified by phone at least 30 minutes before class begins. Cancellations are also posted on the class cancellation page.

College closures - Sign up for School Messenger text alerts to ensure you're notified of college emergency and weather-related closings.

Forward your campus email - You have a KCC email account, hosted by Google. To make sure you see the emails; create a rule and forward them to your personal account.

Books, food, and Hammes Café

Hammes Bookstore - For hours, buy-back dates, and more, visit the Hammes Bookstore page. A few other notes: textbooks change from semester to semester. Bring a copy of your class schedule so you purchase the correct books. You must have your student ID to purchase textbooks.

Information Technology Services - Need help with student email, passwords, Canvas and KCConnect? Trying to locate a computer lab? Check out the resources on the ITS Helpdesk website

Tutoring - Get help with your studies. KCC offers free tutoring services for a variety of course subjects.

Transportation - Do you take public transportation? River Valley Metro stops at KCC three times per hour and there are other transportation options, too.

Parking - Learn where student, handicapped and motorcycle parking are by reviewing parking information.
