Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act Orientation
The orientation is the first step in the process of getting enrolled in the WIOA program and is required for all potential participants. The orientation will provide individuals with information on WIOA policies and regulations, the enrollment process, and a required on-line assessment test. Orientations are usually held once a month. "Get a Job" Workshop
Also known as Job Connections, individuals will recognize how the job market is changing and the importance of networking. Students will also get a better understanding of the world of work, where one fits in, and the job market in today’s economic conditions. This workshop is part of the process for enrollment in the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act Program and is required for all potential participants. Enroll online.
Computer Literacy Workshop
This workshop will provide basic computer instruction on how to use Windows 7, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, use of the Internet, and personal email. Whether new to the computer or a pro, everyone is welcome to sign up. Enroll online.
Resume Development Class
Learn the basic parts and purpose of a resume. Samples will be given as well individual instruction on creating a resume. Computer literacy is recommended before class because students will use Microsoft Office Word to create their resume. Students are encouraged to bring their resume materials such as employment and education history. Please call 815-802-8977 with questions and to sign up.
