Cavs Fall to Kirkwood C.C./Claim 2nd Place
Final Record: 30-3

The KCC women's basketball team entered the NJCAA national tournament with all hopes of bringing homethe championship hardwood but fell short to Kirkwood C.C. 78-53, for the second year, and brought home the Runner-Up trophy. 
Casey Siddens led the team in scoring with 13 points in her final game as a lady cavalier.  All-Tournament selection, Abby Williams, ended with 8 points and 4 rebounds while Jenna French and Aimee Mishler ended with 7 and 4 points, respectively.  Jenny Coronelli dished out 3 assists and Natalie Christenson ended with 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assists and 1 blocked shot.

Cavs win berth to Championship game
Record: 30-2

The KCC women's basketball team downed Mott C.C. 72-55 on Friday, and secured their spot in the NJCAA national championship game for the second straight year.
Jenny Coronelli finished the game with 17 points and dished out 4 assists.  Abby Williams recorded 13 points and had 9 rebounds while freshman, Ashton Mertens, finished with a double-double, 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will play against Kirkwood C.C. in the championship on Friday.  Game time is at 8 p.m..

Cavs Win
Record: 29-2

The KCC women's basketball team picked up a 55-51 victory over Genesee C.C. in the NJCAA National Tournament.
Casey Siddens finished the game with 12 points while Abby Williams recorded a double-double with 11 points and 17 rebounds.  Freshman forward, Denita Phelps had 2 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.  Natalie Christenson made solid contributions with 8 points and 5 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will take on Mott C.C. in the semi-finals of the National Tournament on Friday.  Game time is at 8 p.m..

Cavs take Championship
Record: 28-2

The KCC women's basketball team claimed the Region IV championship for the 3rd year in a row, defeating South Suburban College 74-67.
Casey Siddens, who was named tournament MVP, scored a game high 29 points in the win.  All-Tournament team selections, Abby Williams and Aimee Mishler had 15 and 13 points, respectively.  Williams pulled down 9 rebounds while Ashton Mertens recorded 10. Jenny Coronelli dished out 7 assists in the win.
The Cavaliers will play in the NJCAA National Tournament, March 19-22 in East Peoria at Illinois Central College.  Game times and seedings are still TBA.

Cavs WIN
Record: 27-2

The KCC lady cavaliers will once again be playing for the Region IV Championship against South Suburban College on March 8.
The team defeated Prairie State College in the semifinals on March 1, 97-41.
Casey Siddens scored a team high 19 points while Abby Williams chipped in 16.  Ashton Mertens finished with 12 points and Aimee Mishler and Deja Love each scored 11 points in the win.  Jenna French pulled down a team high 7 rebounds while Jenny Coronelli dished out 7 assists.
The Cavaliers will play in the Championship at Triton College on Saturday.  Game time is at 2:30 p.m..

Cavs Down Wright College
Record: 26-2

The KCC women's basketball team defeated Wright College, 112-33, in the quarterfinals of the Region IV Tournament on Thursday night. 
Jenny Coronelli and Casey Siddens both scored 26 points in the victory.  Freshman, Ashton Mertens, recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Abby Williams and Deja Love scored 14 and 11 points, respectively.
The Cavaliers will take on Prairie State College in the semifinals on Saturday with tip-off scheduled for 4 p.m..  The semifinals and championship will both be played at Triton College in River Grove.

Cavs Win last Regular Season Game
Record: 25-2

The KCC women's basketball team finished out their 2007-2008 regular season with a 84-45 win over Sauk Valley C.C..
Four sophomores scored in double digits, Abby Williams led with 17 points, Natalie Christenson had 15, Jenna French ended with 12, Casey Siddens chipped in 11 and Aimee Mishler had 10.  Christenson hauled down a game high 10 rebounds while Jenny Coronelli dished out 11 assists.  Deja Love chipped in 11 points and pulled down 4 rebounds in the win.
The Cavaliers will host Wright College in the quarterfinal of the Region IV Tournament on Thursday.  Game time is at 5:30 p.m..

Cavs Win Big
Record: 24-2

The KCC women's basketball pulled out a win against Wright College, 106-33 on Thursday night.
Denita Phelps recorded her first double-double of the season with 26 points and 14 rebounds.  Aimee Mishler and Ashton Mertens both scored 15 points apiece while Natalie Christenson and Jenny Coronelli each had 11 points.  Casey Siddens chipped in 10 points while Deja Love and Jenna French each had 9 points and 11 and 9 rebounds, respectively.
The Lady Cavs will host Sauk Valley C.C. on Saturday.  Game time is at 3 p.m..

Record: 23-2

The KCC women's basketball team kept the winning going, downing Lake Land College 79-73.
Ashton Mertens recorded another double-double scoring 16 points and hauling down 17 rebounds.  Aimee Mishler ended with 14 points and 6 assists, Casey Siddens recorded 13 points and Abby Williams had 12 points. 
The Cavaliers will host Wright College on Thursday. Game time is at 5:30 p.m..

Cavs Pick up Win against Highland C.C.
Record: 22-2

The KCC women's basketball team picked up their 22nd victory against Highland C.C. on Saturday.  The Lady Cavs downed the Lady Cougars 67-56.
Freshmen, Ashton Mertens, stepped up to score 20 points and hauled down a team high 13 rebounds while Denita Phelps scored 8 points and had 10 rebounds. Jenny Coronelli finished with 10 points and 5 assists.
The Cavaliers will play at Lake Land College on Tuesday.  Game time is at 5:30 p.m..

Cavs back on track
Record: 21-2

The KCC Lady Cavaliers picked up another win on Wednesday against Millikin University JV, 74-51.
Jenna French recorded her first double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds.  Ashton Mertens chipped in 12 points and had 8 rebounds while Jenny Coronelli finished with 10 points and dished out 8 assists.
The Cavaliers will play at Highland C.C. on Saturday.  Game time is at 1 p.m..

Cavs lose second game
Record: 20-2

The KCC women's basketball team was unable to pull out a victory to Illinois Central College on Saturday, falling 70-73.
Abby Williams led the way offensively with 20 points.  Aimee Mishler pitched in 12 points and recorded 4 steals while Ashton Mertens ended with 10 points and 5 rebounds.  Denita Phelps hauled down a team high 9 rebounds while Jenny Coronelli dished out 5 assists.
The Cavaliers will host Millikin University JV on Wednesday.  Game time is at 5:30 p.m..

Cavs Win against Danville Area C.C.
Record: 20-1

The KCC women's basketball picked up their 20th win of the season, defeating Danville Area C.C. 78-62 on Saturday.
Abby Williams led the offensive attack with 18 points and recorded 7 rebounds.  Aimee Mishler finished with 16 points and Casey Siddens pitched in 13.  Freshman forward, Ashton Mertens, recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will play at Illinois Central College on Saturday.  Game time is at 2 p.m..

Cavs Down Triton
Record: 19-1

The KCC women's basketball team recorded another win on Saturday, defeating Triton College 103-43.
Abby Williams recorded a double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds.  Casey Siddens and Jenny Coronelli both ended with 13 points with Coronelli dishing out a team high 5 assists.  Denita Phelps finished with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Aimee Mishler chipped in 10 points and also dished out 5 assists.  Ashton Mertens hauled down 10 rebounds in the win.
The Cavaliers will play at Danville Area C.C. on Saturday.  Game time is at 2 p.m..

Cavs Take Care of Carl Sandburg College
Record: 18-1

The KCC women's basketball team picked up another win against rival, Carl Sandburg College 68-45 on Saturday.
Casey Siddens led the way with 13 points while Natalie Christenson pitched in 11 points and hauled down 6 rebounds.  Denita Phelps ended the game with 9 points and 10 rebounds while Ashton Mertens had 8 points and 8 rebounds. 
The Cavaliers will play at Triton College on Thursday.  Game time is at 5 p.m..

Record: 17-1

The KCC women's basketball team defeated College of DuPage 83-50 on Thursday night.
Abby Williams finished with 21 points while Ashton Mertens recorded another double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.  Sharp shooter, Casey Siddens, chipped in 12 points while Jenna French had 13. 
The Cavaliers will host Carl Sandburg College on Saturday.  Game time is at 1 p.m..

Cavs Defeat South Suburban College
Record: 16-1

The KCC women's basketball team came out on top of Region IV rival, South Suburban College, 75-61 on Martin Luther King Day.
Ashton Mertens ended with 20 points and hauled down 9 rebounds in the win, while Casey Siddens recorded 18 points.  Abby Williams recorded a double-double in the win scoring 11 points and pulling down 13 rebounds while freshman forward, Denita Phelps, also recorded a double-double with  12 points and a game high 15 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will play at College of DuPage on Thursday.  Game time is at 5 p.m..

Cavs Down Elgin C.C.
Record: 15-1

The KCC women's basketball team picked up another win against Elgin C.C. 77-40 on Saturday.
Abby Williams led the way offensively with 13 points while Natalie Christenson, Casey Siddens and Aimee Mishler each scored 11 points apiece.  Ashton Mertens hauled down a team high 8 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will play at South Suburban College on Monday.  Game time is at 1 p.m..

Cavs Win
Record: 14-1

After picking up their first loss of the season the Cavaliers were on a mission to get their win streak going again.  The Cavaliers did just that, defeating Olive Harvey College 108-41 at Olive Harvey.  The Cavaliers forced 25 turnovers and out rebounded their opponent 57-10.
Abby Williams matched her career high in points scoring 29 and hauled down a 9 rebounds.  Casey Siddens chipped in 25 points while Aimee Mishler ended with 11.  Natalie Christenson and Ashton Mertens both recorded 10 points while pulling down 9 and 8 rebounds, respectively.
The Cavaliers will host Elgin C.C. on Saturday.  Game time is at 1 p.m..

Cavs suffer first loss
Record: 13-1

The KCC women's basketball was unable to connect with their free throws and found themselves with their first loss of the season.  The Cavs fell to John Wood C.C. 78-75.
Abby Williams ended the game scoring 19 points and recorded 6 rebounds.  Natalie Christenson finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds while Aimee Mishler chipped in 9 points. 
The Cavaliers will play at Olive Harvey College on Tuesday.  Game time is at 5 p.m..

Record: 13-0

The KCC women's basketball team pulled out a cool win against Lincoln College on Wednesday night, winning 87-41.
Abby Williams led the way with 20 points while Aimee Mishler finished with 17.  Natalie Christenson and Denita Phelps recorded double digits in rebounding, pulling down 12 and 11, respectively.  Sophomore point guard, Jenny Coronelli, dished out a team high 6 assists.
The Cavaliers will play at home on Saturday against John Wood C.C.. Game time is at 2 p.m..

Record: 12-0

The KCC women's basketball team kept the winning streak going defeating Black Hawk East College 67-56 over the weekend.
Abby Williams led the offensive attack with 19 points and hauled down a team high 9 rebounds.  Aimee Mishler and Denita Phelps both ended with 10 points apeice.  Natalie Christenson recorded 8 rebounds and dished out a team high 6 assists.
The lady cavs will host Lincoln College on Wednesday.  Game time is at 5:30 p.m..

Cavs Stay Perfect
Record: 11-0

The KCC women's basketball team kept their record flawless after defeating Kalamazoo Valley C.C. 78-69 on Saturday.  The Cavaliers have rounded out their 2007 season and will not see game action until the 5th of January.
Natalie Christenson led the way for the Cavs, pouring in a game high 27 points.  Christenson also pulled down 4 rebounds, dished out 3 assists and recorded 2 steals.  Casey Siddens followed with 16 points and Denita Phelps had 12 points.  Coronelli dished out 9 assists while Phelps pulled down 9 rebounds.  Freshman, Ashton Mertens, did not go unnoticed, ending with 6 points, 3 assists, 10 rebounds and 2 steals.
The Lady Cavs will play on January 5th at home against Black Hawk East College.  Game time is at 3 p.m..

Record: 10-0

The KCC women's basketball team came out on top of Joliet Junior College, winning 87-73 on Wednesday night.
06-07' All-American Abby Williams poured in a game high 28 points and hauled down 8 rebounds in the win.  Casey Siddens chipped in 17 points and Aimee Mishler ended with 14 points.  Freshman, Ashton Mertens, finished the game with 8 points and 8 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will play at Kalamazoo Valley C.C. on Saturday to round out 2007.  Game time is at 1 p.m. (EST).

Record: 9-0

The KCC women's basketball team has kept their record perfect with another win over the weekend.  The Lady Cavs downed Oakton C.C. 87-37 on Saturday.
Casey Siddens led the way with 15 points while Abby Williams had 14 points and hauled down 7 rebounds.  Aimee Mishler ended the game with 12 points, Natalie Christenson had 11 and Ashton Mertens recorded her second double-double of the year with 11 points and 12 rebounds. 
The Cavaliers will play at home on Wednesday against Joliet Junior College.  Game time is at 5:30 p.m..

The KCC women's basketball team downed Region IV opponent Moraine Valley C.C. 87-53 on Tuesday night.
Three sophomores scored double digits in the win.  Natalie Christenson ended with 12, Casey Siddens had 21 and Abby Williams ended with 24.  Williams hauled down a team high 9 rebounds while freshman forward Ashton Mertens had 8 rebounds.

The KCC women's basketball team kept their winning streak alive by defeating Ancilla College 83-52 on Saturday.
Abby Williams led the way offensively with 21 points and hauled down 7 rebounds.  Jenny Coronelli recorded 14 points and Aimee Mishler had 11.  Freshman forwards, Denita Phelps and Deja Love both had 10 points and hauled down 13 rebounds combined.  Natalie Christenson led the way in assists with 5 and Ashton Mertens pulled down a team high 8 rebounds.

The KCC women's basketball team stayed perfect with a win against McHenry County College on Thursday night.
The Cavaliers had two players record double digits in scoring including, Casey Siddens with 20 points and Jenny Coronelli with 12. 
Coronelli and Ashton Mertens led the way in rebounding with 7 apiece while Abby Williams and Denita Phelps each had 6.
The Cavaliers will host Ancilla College on Saturday. Game time is at 1 p.m..

The KCC women's basktball team defeated 2007 National Tournament opponent, Lincoln Land C.C. 67-56 on Tuesday night.
Natalie Christenson led the way with 16 points and 7 rebounds.  Casey Siddens chipped in 13 points and Jenny Coronelli recorded 12.  Coronelli ended the game with 5 assists while Abby Williams, Denita Phelps and Ashton Mertens hauled down 8 rebounds a piece.

The KCC women's basketball team kept the wins going by defeating Danville Area C.C. 83-72 on Tuesday night.
Two players recorded a double-double in the win.  Abby Williams ended with 21 points and 11 rebounds while freshman forward Ashton Mertens ended with 10 points and 11 rebounds.  Casey Siddens shot 4-6 from three ending with 18 points and Natalie Christenson had 9 points.
The Cavaliers will play at Lincoln Land C.C. on November 27.  Game time is at 5:30 p.m..

The KCC lady cavaliers kept their record perfect by defeating Morton College 90-41 on Thursday. 
Abby Williams led the way offensively with 20 points while Jenna French chipped in 14 points and hauled down 9 rebounds.  Natalie Christenson ended with 11 points while Denita Phelps and Ashton Mertens contributed 10 points apiece.

The KCC women's basketball team defeated Black Hawk East College 71-60 on Tuesday. 
Abby Williams led the Cavaliers with 14 points and had 8 rebounds while Jenna French and Natalie Christenson each chipped in 10 points apiece.  Freshman, Ashton Mertens, recorded 9 points for the Cavaliers and had 8 rebounds.

The KCC lady cavaliers won their first game of the 2007-2008 season, defeating Prairie State College 102-52.
Casey Siddens led the Cavalier charge with 21 points (5-7 from 3) while Abby Williams followed close behind with 17 points and hauled down 8 boards.  Sophomore guard, Jenny Coronelli ended the game with 15 points while freshman post Denita Phelps scored 11 points and pulled down a team high 9 rebounds.
