Learning Assistance 

If you need help preparing for college classes or with coursework while enrolled at KCC, KCC's Academic Skills Center is just what you'll need to succeed.

 

A variety of support services are offered through KCC's Academic Skills Center, including:

 

College preparatory courses
College preparatory courses in the areas of math, writing, reading, biology, study skills and computer literacy are available.

 

Tutoring
Free tutorial services in a wide range of college courses is available to all KCC students.

 

Learning Laboratory
Students can sharpen up on their math, writing, reading, basic science, study skills, word processing and other basic skills.

 

Supplemental Instruction

Students in historically difficult classes can master course content through extra units of instruction.

 

Academic Success Series
Throughout the academic year, a series of one-hour seminars are scheduled to help students improve in areas like study skills, note taking, time management, and testing.

 

Assistance for students with disabilities
Through KCC's Office of Special Populations Instructional Services, special assistance is available to accommodate individual student learning needs.
