Occupational Programs

Kankakee Community College's occupational programs are intended for the student who wants to acquire technical skills to enter the job market directly from KCC or who is already in the job market but needs retraining or skills upgrading.

Programs are offered in the business, health and technology areas. Students may earn an Associate in Applied Science degree, which usually requires a minimum of 64 credit hours; an Advanced Certificate, which requires 30-45 credit hours, depending on the field of study; or a Certificate of Completion, which requires 3-26 credit hours. Students may also take individual courses that fit their job training needs without being enrolled in a degree or certificate program.

KCC students may also enroll in curricula offered at other Illinois community colleges that are not available at KCC. See Cooperative Programs.
