Faculty
At KCC we believe if we're not improving we're falling behind. Thus, in 2002, KCC prioritized continuous improvement and became a member of The Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP), an alternative accreditation model. AQIP is administered by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) which is part of NCA. KCC's AQIP committee members study what we do, ask hard questions, make suggestions, and report achievements and limitations. In an ongoing interactive process, KCC provides updates to HLC on our continuous improvement efforts, and HLC responds with constructive feedback.
Our most recent activity was the completion of a Quality Check-up Visit (QCV) in anticipation of fall 2008 re-affirmation of accreditation. We are very pleased with the final report from the site visitors. From the site visit report:
“Kankakee Community College is making significant strides in creating a campus culture of organization that is forward-thinking and focused on quality.”
