What is the Passport for Professional Growth?

The Passport is what used to be the New Faculty Development Course. The Passport for Professional Growth Pathway 1 is required of new full time faculty members and is strongly recommended for adjunct faculty members.

Pathway 1 of the Passport is in alignment with the Non-Tenured Faculty Evaluation Plan so new faculty see, as part of that plan, what is expected of them in professional growth during their first semester. However, the Passport goes beyond just new faculty and includes.

Pathway 2 is for aspiring online faculty. Successful completion of the four workshops in this pathway allow one to join the ranks of our online faculty.

Pathway 3 includes professional growth topics in general.

All pathways are open to all faculty. Our faculty is our greatest resource. Many of the workshops in the Passport are taught by KCC faculty and staff. Please consider what workshops you might develop and teach in Pathway 1 or 2 or 3 as a contribution to your fellow faculty members.

Why a passport?

The Passport theme builds upon the efforts of KCC to engage a global presence and also the simple idea that with some professional growth, one never knows where one might end up.
