Job preparation

If you want to acquire technical skills to enter the job market immediately after KCC or if you are already in the job market but need retraining or skills upgrading, KCC's occupational programs are designed for you.

Programs are offered in the business, health and technology areas. Students may earn an Associate in Applied Science degree, which usually requires a minimum of 64 credit hours, or a Certificate of Completion, which requires a minimum of 10-45 credit hours, depending on the field of study. You also can take individual courses that fit their job training needs without being enrolled in a degree or certificate program.

KCC students may also enroll in curricula offered at other Illinois community colleges that are not available at KCC. See Cooperative Agreements.
