Career Planning Services

The Office of Career Planning Services helps KCC students, former students and graduates research career choices, find job shadowing experiences, learn exceptional job-hunting skills, and offer leads for full-time and part-time employment. The office can provide students with assistance in developing resumes, reference sheets, cover letters and follow-up letters at little or no cost. An appointment is required for this service.

In addition, the office offers seminars and workshops at various times throughout the year. Topics include effective resume development and job readiness skills.

Annually, more than 500 employment opportunities are posted on campus through the Career Planning Services office. Space on campus also is available to employers to conduct on-campus interviews.

Other services offered:

• Annual Job Fair with more than 50 employers and more than 600 participants
• Access to the web-based job listing service, CCJobNet.com, which provides job seekers universal access to current employment opportunities in northern Illinois
• Computerized guidance and information systems including Discover.
