Prospective Students
Effective Fall 2006, students enrolled at KCC are required to have a KCC photo ID. The photo ID card is required to be carried at all times while on campus. Students must be prepared to present their card to campus security, KCC faculty and administration, and personnel in the Accounting Office, Admissions and Registration, Learning Resource Center (LRC), bookstore, and other offices. Students will receive ID cards during regular registration.
Credit students have an active barcode on the front of the card and on the magnetic strip on the back. The card is valid for three years and must be validated every semester.

In the future, the card will allow access to select areas and doorways, check in and out of the KCC Fitness Center, and to establish accounts for food services and copiers.
Fees
No fee for the first card, $5 for each replacement card.
Health Career students
The health student card is used at off-site clinical locations only. It has no active barcode or magnetic strip. The card is valid for two years.

The community student card has an active barcode on the front, but does not have an active magnetic strip on the back. The card is valid for two years and must be validated every semester.

The staff card has an active barcode on the front and an active identification number in the magnetic strip on the back. The card does not have an expiration date. Human resources will collect the card during the exit interview.
