Fall Semester, 2007

  • Aug. 13-17 — Final days of credit division registration; new faculty report on Monday; full-time faculty return Tuesday; instructional preparation days; faculty in-service program
  • Aug. 18 — Saturday registration
  • Aug. 20 — Fall semester classes begin in credit division; Adult Education classes begin
  • Aug. 20,21 — Late registration period for fall credit division
  • Aug. 25 — Saturday courses begin. See schedule for specific dates for each course.
  • Sept. 1 — Labor Day weekend—campus closed, Saturday courses do not meet
  • Sept. 3 — Labor Day—campus closed
  • Sept. 17 — Constitution Day observed
  • Sept. 21 — Last day to withdraw with a grade of "W" for first eight-week courses
  • Oct. 12 — Mid-term for credit division; grades due to Office of Admissions and Registration by noon.
  • Oct. 15 — Fall "Second Eight-Week Session" classes begin; Students may obtain a registration form for spring registration
  • Oct. 26 — Spring class schedule available in Student Services
  • Oct. 26 — Last day to withdraw with a grade of "W" for regular session 16-week courses.
  • Oct. 29 — Credit division pre-registration begins for spring semester; First day to file petitions for Dec. and May graduation.
  • Nov. 9 — Veterans Day Observed—holiday for faculty and students; Campus is open until 5 p.m.
  • Nov. 16 — Last day to withdraw with a grade of "W" for second eight-week session courses
  • Nov. 21 — Thanksgiving vacation begins at 5 p.m.
  • Nov. 22,23 — Thanksgiving vacation—campus closed
  • Nov. 24 — Thanksgiving vacation—campus closed, Saturday courses do not meet
  • Nov. 28 — Last day for spring semester preregistration
  • Dec. 7 — Last day for preregistered students (Spring 08) to pay for reserved courses. Students will be dropped from courses for failure to meet this deadline. Registration continues through Jan. 11.
  • Dec. 7 — Last day of fall semester courses; final day to petition for Dec. graduation
  • Dec. 8 — Final exams for Saturday courses
  • Dec. 10-13 — Final exams
  • Dec. 14 — Final grades due to Office of Admissions and Registration by noon
  • Dec. 17-20 — Campus is open until 5 p.m.
  • Dec. 21-Jan. 1 — Winter break—campus closed

Spring Semester, 2008

  • Jan. 2 — Campus reopens; credit division registration resumes
  • Jan. 2-11 — Final days of credit division registration
  • Jan. 8-11 — New faculty and full-time faculty return; instructional preparation days; faculty in-service program
  • Jan. 12 — Saturday registration
  • Jan. 14 — Spring semester classes begin in credit division; Adult Education classes begin
  • Jan. 14,15 — Late registration period for spring credit division; Signature required if the class has already met.

  • Jan. 21 — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day—campus closed
  • Feb. 15 — Last day to withdraw with a grade of "W" for first eight-week courses
  • Feb. 18 — President's Day—holiday for faculty and students; campus is open until 5 p.m.
  • March 3 — Final date to petition for May graduation
  • March 7 — Mid-term for 16-week credit division courses; grades due to Office of Admissions and Registration by noon.
  • March 10 — Spring "Second Eight-Week Session" classes begin
  • March 17-22 — Spring break for faculty and students; campus is open until 5 p.m.
  • March 21 — Summer and Fall class schedules available in Student Services
  • March 24 — Last day to withdraw with a grade of "W" for regular 16-week session courses
  • March 24 — 2008-2009 college catalogs available
  • March 24 — Start of registration for summer session

  • June 9 — Eight-week summer session classes

  • June 12 — Last day to withdraw with a grade of "W" for six–week session courses
  • June 27 — Last day of six-week session courses
  • June 27 — Six-week session course grades due to Office of Admissions and Registration by noon

  • June 27 — GED Completion ceremony
  • August 1 — Last day for fall semester preregistration
  • July 4 — Independence Day—campus closed
  • July 11 — Last day to withdraw with a grade of "W" for eight–week session courses
